We bought this to store extra solid fat from our tiny deep fat fryer. It's great. The straining lid works well to remove little bits, then we put the pitcher in the frig to save the fat until next use. When needed, the pitcher can be put directly on the stove (at least briefly) to melt enough of the fat to pour into the fryer. Handy.
I already have one and have found multiple other uses in the kitchen. So I decided to purchase another one so I can have multiple units. Iām thinking of buying a 3rd unit. I love the Oil Filter Vessel. Everything about this is well made. Itās just the right size, not too small not too big. Itās becoming a purpose, ladle, scooper, pitcher, or as I like to say itās my all-purpose kitchen toolššš
